Pastor Shahn Wilburn


Pastor Shahn and his wife Juanita came to Riverview October 26, 1980 when the small congregation which occupied the little white church overlooking the New River called him to be their Pastor. A native of Giles County, he was attending Piedmont Baptist College in Winston-Salem, NC at the time, and living in Franklin County, VA. Upon his arrival, the church began to have a full slate of services on Sunday, with Sunday school, morning worship and evening Bible study. God blessed, and the church began to experience steady growth. Through the years land was purchased and the current facilities were built almost totally by the church family, and all without debt. Multiple services and additional staff have been added as well, to meet the needs of a growing church family. Believing strongly in the great commission, Missions and Missionaries have been an emphasis at Riverview as well as local evangelization. Through the years God has blessed the congregation at Riverview and certainly all the praise belongs to Him.
